A teenager’s attempt to avoid police reportedly backfired within seconds after what authorities described as one of the worst escape plans officers had seen in a long time.
According to investigators, officers responded to reports of a disturbance involving multiple people in a neighborhood during the evening hours. Witnesses claimed tensions were already high when police arrived and began separating individuals involved in the situation.
Body camera footage reportedly captured officers questioning people near the scene when the 19-year-old suddenly appeared nervous and began looking for a way out. Authorities say the teen then attempted a bizarre and poorly thought-out escape that immediately drew attention from officers nearby.
