Authorities reportedly uncovered a concealed room inside a residential property after responding to multiple concerns from neighbours about unusual activity.
According to investigators, the couple living in the home initially appeared cooperative, but officers became suspicious during the search of the property. What began as a routine welfare check escalated when police found a locked space hidden behind a false wall or secured door.
Inside, officers allegedly discovered disturbing conditions and items suggesting prolonged restraint or abuse had taken place. The room was immediately sealed off as forensic teams were called in to examine the scene.
Neighbors described the pair as “quiet but strange,” saying they rarely interacted with others and kept to themselves. One resident claimed they had heard unexplained noises coming from the house at night, but never imagined anything serious was happening inside.
The suspects were taken into custody for questioning as authorities worked to determine what had occurred in the property and whether additional victims were involved.
